Love hotel romance

A new experience

When I was living mostly in Paris last year, a friend of mine asked me if I could take nudes of her as a gift for her boyfriend. I had never done a nude shoot before but got quite excited about the idea. I really enjoy doing sensual shoots since capturing female beauty in this way just fascinates me. Women in general are mostly the subject of my photography and I never get tired of the magic they exuberate - no matter if dressed or undressed. I don’t see shooting nudes from an only erotic or pornographic type of view. It can be - of course but I see it more as a way to celebrate our god-given bodies and to destigmatize the topic of judging women getting undressed for cameras.

The shooting

We picked a hotel in the 15th arrondissement for the shooting which had beautiful yet a little kitchy interior. It was perfect for the dreamy and a bit tacky vibe that we were going for. I shot all of the images on my Canon EOS 750D with the standard kit lens as well as the Canon 50mm F1.8 EFII lens.
